Understand that cigarettes are sins in Christianity context. These sins keep us away from God. That why our request prayers are sometimes ineffective & wishes to God do not come through. And the Holy Spirit are grieved when we do cigarettes sins. To be totally guilt free & to gain freedom in life, you need to commit cigarettes no more. This is because with sins, we will still be under control by the satan second heaven & not God Third Heaven. We will be under the satan & not under God.
Believe in God. Our Heavenly Father. Pray to God everytime you face even the smallest temptation of habit again & again: "in the Name of God." And from the moment of deciding to cut-off cigarettes, ask God to help you.
Become a Christian. Believe Jesus Christ dies in the Cross to help us get rid of all addictions, including the habit of cigarettes. Need for intoxication makes you do cigarettes. Believe Jesus Christ will cut-off all bondages of intoxication by prayer. Pray to Jesus Christ everytime you face even the smallest temptation of habit again & again: "in the Name of Jesus Christ."
Ask for Holy Spirit to come within us to strengthen our faith & determination to get rid of habit of cigarettes. Ask Holy Spirit for Guidance. Pray to Holy Spirit everytime you face even the smallest temptations of habit again & again: "Holy Spirit, please give me strength." Do you know the Holy Spirit is a Gentleman? If you do not invite Him into your body or your room, He will not enter them. If you do not invite Him to speak to you, He will not speak to you. So invite Him. Keep full of Holy Spirit. Replace what has controlled you with a new dimension of the Holy Spirit's fullness.
You should attend a good Church regularly. Jesus Christ: "you see the fruits to know the tree." Follow those good worthy Christians Friends to their Church. Do not follow lose christians. A good Church will be able to fulfill Healing Prayers = cure all sickness, Request Prayers = make all your wishes come through.
You should be under the Guidances of a good Pastor. Me: "in a good Church, you will find a good Pastor." Jesus Christ: "be careful of wolves coming in sheep clothings." Be careful of sinful pastor who do sins & do not fear God. A good Pastor will lead by example, fear God greatly & do not commit even the little sins. If the Pastor is good, his Salvation Prayers & Deliverance Prayers will come true. See below Pastor's Prayers.
Do not be in the bad company of people who do cigarettes. They will make you go back to cigarettes. Be in the fellowship of Good Christians, preferably those who have successfully quit cigarettes. So as to give you support during the first months of quitting cigarettes.
Ask your Pastor to make an official Salvation Prayers = "ask Jesus to come into your life & control you. Make you the person what He wants you to become."
Ask your Pastor to make Deliverance Prayers = "in the Name of Jesus. Cast out all spirits of cigarettes. Amen." So that they will not cause you to sin cigarettes again.
Make heart decisions to cut-off cigarettes forever. Know that even cigarettes are sins. Sins keep us away from God. With sins, the satan will take again all God's Blessings that God gives us. Be very determined to cut-off cigarettes once & for all. From your heart comes actions. Start from your heart. Make a firm heart decision.
Starting from little sins. Do not look at people smoking cigarettes on the food centres. Do not look at cigarettes packs or cigarettes selling stores. Throw away all cigarettes in your possession. Do not smoke cigarettes even your friends treat you. You need a total break from the habit of cigarettes. Gradual breaking off from habit of cigarettes does not work. Throw away all things that might tempt you, including all cigarettes, finished cigarettes butts, the smell of cigarettes in your house etc.
Confess to your Pastor about your past sins & all new repeat sins. So that He can suggest how you going to break these sins bondage. For my Pastor, He prays for me forgiveness of sins from Jesus Christ, new Salvation Prayers so that Jesus will re-enter & control my life after Jesus leaves me when I commit new repeated sins, & new Deliverance Prayers to break the bondages of sins & cast out sins spirits which are making me have repeating the same sins thoughts. You must confess that you have been doing something you consider wrong, and that you have been defiling the temple of God (your body), You must tell God that you want and need His forgiveness and deliverance of casting out the spirits of cigarettes. Command it to leave and resolve that, with God's help, you will never do cigarettes again.
Hardcore years of cigarettes will give temptations to go back the old ways. Resist temptations. Careful the smallest thoughts. You are your worst enemy. God does not tempt, the satan tempts. Understand that all temptations come from the satan. Do not fall into satan's tricks. My Pastor suggests that I flee from all temptations of cigarettes. Avoid the satan's strongholds. Do not be near temptations, if you are too weak to face them.
In God you will have victory. Have faith that you will win this battle. It takes 30 days to rebuild a good habit. It takes 3 years for the body cells to become new cells free from the poisons of cigarettes. This 30 days & 3 years periods are crucial period times. It is after 30 days of clean behaviour, then you can quit the habit of cigarettes. It is after 3 years of new whole body cells, that you are clean of the poisons of cigarettes, then you will have no withdrawal symptoms.
Read Holy Bible regularly & daily. Know the Words of God. Know the "Voice" of Jesus Christ from the 4 Gospels & know the "Voice" of God from the Old Testaments. So that you can talk to these "Voices" during wake time. Know the contents of the Holy Bible.
Jesus Christ is a bondages Breaker. Jesus Christ's blood shed cleanses us. He resurrected & has Power of Christianity God to break all bondages of sins.
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
Firstly, sins temptations for Christians are common in this world we live in.
Secondly, God does not allow the satan to over sins tempt us until we cannot bear.
Thirdly, if you endure to the last, God will allow an escape for you to leave that temptation.
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things of good report. If there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things."
Firstly, think only of good thoughts & things.
Secondly, replace evil thoughts & things with good thoughts & things.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Firstly, we can do all things through Jesus Christ, including getting rid of habit of cigarettes.
Secondly, Jesus Christ continually strengthens us.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
Christians who believe in Jesus Christ will be free of all bondages of sins, which Jesus Christ releases us from.
