帝君曰。
Guan Sage says.
淫为万恶之首。
Adultery is the top of all sins.
孝乃百行之先。
Filial is the first of all Virtues.
淫人者。杀其三世。
Adultery a person. Kill her 3 generations (humiliate her parents, her husband, her children).
一经败露。丑态遍传。
Once expose. Ugliness widespread.
父不以为女。夫不以为妻。子不以为母。
Father does not want daughter. Husband does not want wife. Son does not want mother.
甚至刀悬颈项。男女并亡。
Some even knife neck. Male & female both die.
抛尸露骨。辱及宗亲。
Throw body expose bones. Humiliate onto ancestors & parents.
问谁家之女流。全无教诲。问谁家之男子。竟类马牛。
Ask whose house female. No upbringing. Ask whose house male. Like animals.
一或赠芍采兰。两情更密。
One may give flowers. 2 love becomes closer.
致使药毒亲夫。问成剿罪。
Result poisoning real husband. Becoming murder crime.
极刑定谳。魂散魄消。
Harsh judgement sentence. Lose soul concentration.
父子悲号。母女抱痛。万人笑骂。悔何及焉。
Father & son crying. Mother & daughter weeping. All people laughs & scolds. Regret too late.
而好淫者恬不知耻。
Still love adultery persons still do not know shamefulness.
本名教中人。甘为败常乱俗。
Use to be good school people. Decide to destroy virtues & confuse traditions.
或兄占弟媳。弟奸兄嫂。
Or elder brother takes sister-in-law. Younger brother rapes sister-in-law.
或叔因侄妇而起贪心。侄以婶娘而成苟合。
Or uncle because of niece's wife becomes greedy. Niece & aunt become together.
两下欢娱。只顾眼前快活。
Two happy together. Only care about moment happiness.
半生潦倒。那知身后倾颓。
Half-life bad lucks. Not know life after also bad.
不是断绝香烟。便是流为乞丐。
Either no offsprings. Or become beggars.
不是妻女酬偿。便是子孙落魄。
Either wife & daughter get adultery. Or offsprings get bad lucks.
孤坟野鬼。孰化纸钱。
Lonely grave wild ghosts. Who will burn paper money?
浪子轻狂。孰施菜饭。
Playboy young anyhow. Who will give food?
言念及此。能不悲哉。
Say until now. Cannot be not sad?
更有作苦田家。身成佻达。
There are hardworking farmer family. Body cannot hard works.
不思孝亲敬长。反来钻穴逾墙。
Not think filial piety parents respecting elders. But to dig holes over walls (to neighbour female).
南亩东郊。变为枯槁。
South farmlands & west countrysides. Become old & decayed.
秦楼楚馆。莫问春秋。
Inside prostitutes house & hotels. Not knowing summer & spring.
卖祖业而在债偿风流。父母之供给尽废。
Sell ancestor's properties while paying prostitute debts. Parents food money all gone.
当嫁奁而醉饱朝夕。儿女之烟火久虚。
Sell daughter dowry for alcohol & food on night & day. Children food long become little.
床头金尽。孽病随身。
Bed end gold finish. Punishment illnesses follow.
倒卧街前。亲朋掩鼻。
Lie in streets. Relatives & friends cover nose.
命延片刻。故旧酸心。
Life extend a moment. Therefore pasts sadden heart.
遥忆当年。何堪回首。
Think of old years. Cannot bear remember.
如此下落。勿庸叹息。
End up this. No use regretting.
他如良工巧匠。应守规模。
Person should like good Craftsman. Should follow Rules.
或师训不遵。暗许栈宿之约。友言弗听。顿怀月下之欢。
Or Teacher's teachings not follow. Secretly meet in hotel dates. Friends' warnings not listen. Have meeting under nights.
任尔俊女娇娥。难逃铁网。管他花容月貌。放下金钩。
Even you handsome or beautiful. Unable to escape Laws. Not care she beautiful. Put down your traps.
少妇含羞。有意悬梁自缢。红颜被辱。甘心跳水投河。
Young wife shameful. Want hang herself on roof. Young girl chastity raped. Willing to jump river commit suicide.
恶气难消。转向鬼门哭诉。冤魂不散。竟来地府呈词。
Anger not disappear. Go Ghost Court crying complain. Mistreated ghost not disappear. Come to Hell Court give statements.
五殿森罗。法不容缓。
5 Courts very strict. Laws not allow bent.
铜锤铁铡。血肉淋漓。剑树刀山。形神零落。
Copper hammers iron axes. Blood flesh everywhere. Sword-trees knife-mountains. Soul forms break everywhere.
一念之差。终身莫赎。
One wrong thought. Whole life cannot redeem.
彼其之子。情何以堪。

所恨者。贸易江湖。挥金如土。
To be hate. Businessmen people. Use money like nothing.
挟妓女以调情。那计更长夜短。
Hug prostitutes flirting. Not caring time long or short.
恋风花而快意。浑忘月落乌啼。
Love short flowers for fast happiness. Forgetting moon descents & rooster crowing.
久别家邻。鱼书鲜寄。长依远地。雁信难通。
Long away from home. Sea mails not sent. Long distance from home. Bird mails not come.
水败先天。服药而药弗效。病成后悔。求神而神不灵。
Kidney water spoiled. Eat medicines & medicines not work. Illness formed regretting. Beg gods & gods not help.
哭向天涯。孰来顾盼。
Crying towards Heaven. Who will come?
死作他乡之鬼。终为异城之魂。
Die become other place ghosts. End becoming other city souls.
千里河山。谁怜枯骨。一堆荒草。莫觅亲朋。
Thousand miles mountains. Who care about lone skeletons. 1 bundle of wild grass. Cannot find relatives & friends.
报应昭彰。丝毫不爽。
Causes & Effects. Everything comes.
吾也。叮咛诰诫。嘱望四民。
I (Guan Sage). Warning & warning. Hope everyone.
果能涵养心性。不犯邪淫。
Must cultivate heart. No commit adultery.
则诗礼传家。仓箱有庆。名成利就。寿考维祺。

门楣焕彩。居然富贵之家。
House door newly colourful. A wealthy family.
闾里增光。不愧栋梁之器。
Neighbourhood sparkle out. Right to say abilities of pillars.
庭前生瑞草。兰桂腾芳。
Garden front bear precious herbs. Smelling very nice.
户外起祥烟。椿萱并茂。
Outside rise fortune smoke. Parents still alive.
推原其故。半由戒中来。
Reason the cause. Half from cultivation restrictions.
而古来好淫之辈。亦不乏人。
And from ancient love-adultery people. Not few.
夏桀无道。宠妹喜而败坏江山。
Bad emperor Xia Jie no tao (virtue). Love female Mei Xi & lose kingdom.
商纣不仁。爱妲己而摧残社稷。
Bad emperor Shan Zhou no ren (humanity). Love female Dan Ji & destroy empire.
齐庄公因棠姜废命。惨不可言。
Bad emperor Qi Zhuang Gong because of official's wife Tang Jiang get killed. Cannot speak of.
陈灵公为夏氏亡身。丑不堪问。
Bad emperor Chen Ling Gong because of mother Xia Shi get killed. Too shameful to ask.
其余新台墙茨。濮上桑间读其诗。未有不指为禽兽。

往事堪追。一至于此。
Past things to recall. Up to here.
且吾在汉室。寸心可白。

秉烛待旦。无意曹瞒。

斩将夺关。寻兄护嫂。
Killing generals passing gates. Look for Elder Brother guarding Sister-in-law.
柳下惠坐怀不乱。何等清高。鲁仲连闭门不纳。何等意义。
Person Liu Xia Hui female sits lap not move. How noble.

吾愿少年英俊。保重丹田。
I (Guan Sage) hope handsome youth. Careful guard body energy.
不为色欲所伤。寿期耄耋。不为裙钗所误。德被儿孙。
Not hurt by sexual desires. Lifespan old age. Not wrong by female dressings. Virtues give offsprings.
入不闻寡妇之悲。天长地久。出不见鳏夫之惨。鹤发童颜。
In not hear widow's sadness. Heaven & Earth long. Out not see widower's terrible. Black hair & young looks.
一室太和。不知老之将至。
1 Family peacefully. Not know old age coming.
夫知弟者莫若师。知子者莫若父。
Know disciples well like Teacher. Know son well like Father.
吾见为人师者。读书而外。决不教以保身之学。
I (Guan Sage) see those as teachers. Other than studies. Never teach protect self (body energies) Teaching.
或因子弟聪明。听其飞扬浮躁。
Or because students smart. Let him over-confidence impatient.
或因东家爱惜。任他蝶戏蜂狂。
Or his parents like him. Let him play around.
情窦初开。天良渐失。
Emotions hormones beginning. Conscience disappearing.
本是玉堂人物。弄成邪僻儿郎。
Use to be solid Character. Turn into evil wild person.
无论磊落奇才。一定功名偃蹇。
No matter how capable. Confirm official fate difficulties.
庸师之过。害人不浅。
Bad teacher's fault. Harm people not light.
吾又见为人父者。溺爱不明。慢加惩责。
I (Guan Sage) also see those father. Love without wisdom. Slow in punishments.
稍有一知半解。逢人便说佳儿。些微薄技片长。到处争夸令子。
Only a bit understanding. Tell everyone child good. A bit have skill. Everywhere praising child.
不是成家之器。视为席上之珍。
Not capable to strengthen family. See as table high guest.
从此荡检逾闲。越礼犯分。
Since then relax-checking over idle. Over-cross rites make mistakes.
习就一身轻薄。尼姑寡妇任意酣眠。
Use to not respecting. The nuns & widows sleeping with.
装成满口糊言。柳巷花街随心喜悦。
Become mouth full of rubbish. The prostitute alleys visit as like.
谓夫子教我以正。夫子未出于正。
The father teaches him as right path. He says father has not taught him right path.
忍气吞声。如何结局。
The father enduring. How to end?
吾思名山大川。何地无高明之客。
I (Guan Sage) think of famous Mountains big Rivers. Where no enlightened Guests?
而谈及戒淫一事。鲜有不以为难者。何也。
But talk about no adultery one thing. Few do not feel difficult. Why?
大抵意马难拴。久被尘缘牵挂。
Most because thoughts like unable control horse. Long time let things influence.
心猿未锁。却为色界羁缠。
Heart monkey not lock. But let material Universe influence.
利害未分。执迷不悟。
Benefit & harm cannot differentiate. Stubbornly do not know.
岂知芙蓉白面。困了无数英雄。
Do you know beautiful female faces. Trap how many heroes?
且看美艳红妆。伤了许多豪杰。
See these beautiful female makeup. Hurt so many gentlemen.
戒之戒之祸伊胡底。
Careful & careful as disasters no end.
天下纷纷伦类不一。
Under Heaven people not alike.
也有少孤失怙。削发为僧。
Have young orphans lose family. Shave hair become monks.
也有学道名山。离尘脱俗。
Have learnt Tao (cultivation) in famous Mountains. Leaving behind mundane worlds.
理应心如铁石。紧闭禅关。
By right heart as stone. Guarding Zen Gate.
何期饮酒茹荤。私破从前斋戒。
When drink alcohol eat meat? Self break last time vegetarian vow.
颠鸾倒凤。图快今日心胸。
Like phoenix become anyhow mate. Only for today happiness.
污秽莲池。天神恼怒。
Dirty Buddha Lotus Pond (Temple). Heaven gods angry.
打入孽海。永堕沉沦。
Cast into Reincarnation Sea. Forever sinking.
地狱门前僧道多。岂虚语哉。岂不信然乎哉。
In front of Hell Door monks many. This is not lying. If you do not believe then how?
晚近以来。洋风新潮。凌袭中土。
End times. Western winds new trends. Attack Central Lands.
男女变相。衣冠怪异。廉耻尽抛。
The male & female change forms. Clothings weird. Shamefulness all gone.
有以暴露招摇。乱爱种孽。未婚失贞者。
Use body exposure as living. Anyhow get pregnant. Before marriage loses virginity.
或经营百业。耍千奇花招。
Or manage all kinds of businesses. Play all kinds of tricks.
明现春光妖浪。暗藏诲淫迷涡。
Outside beautiful things weird trends. Hidden tempting adultery trapping holes.
多少志士沦落其间。无尽学子流荡忘返。
How many gentlemen fall inside. Many learning students forget to return.
万商可营。淫业孽重。
Everything can business. The adultery businesses' punishments the heaviest.
阿鼻惨刑严罚。子孙恶报臭名不断。
Eternal Hell cruel punishments the most strict. Offsprings bad karma & bad reputation no ending.
莫谓徜徉销魂。寻欢可乐。
Do not happily lose souls. Looking for good times.
纵以银钱交易。灵性难免污秽。虽无旁观耳目。暗室自感亏心。
Even with money transaction. Souls get dirty. Though no one looking. Alone room feel guilty.
邪思既起。恶念滋生。身家丧失清白。心田毒苗生根。
Evil thinking arise. Evil thoughts grow. Lose pure reputation. Heart grow poison roots.
万世孽业从此纠缠。累劫轮回无休矣。
Thousands lifetime bad fates entangle. Endless reincarnation no stop.
幸而迷途未远。今是昨非。
Luckily lost not far. Today correct yesterday wrong.
有志圣贤。改过不灵吝。
Aim to be Sage & Sub-Sage. Corrections cannot save.
则弥天之罪。一悔便消。
Even full sky of sins. One repent will be gone.
倘畏难苟安。一日便深一日。知味不舍。今年缓在明年。
If afraid of difficulties. One day more heavy one day. Know taste not leave. One year delay one year.
百折不回。身犹未了。一棺长盖。除死方休。
Time do not return. Lifetime ends. Coffin cover. Only death everything rest.
恶名永传。千古流为话柄。
Bad reputation forever. Thousands centuries as people topic.
恶迹难掩。四方播为美谈。
Wrong doings cannot hide. Everywhere become interesting talks.
生儿不像贤。不如无后之为快。
Have son not good. Might as well do not have more happy.
无如江河易改。本性难移。
Unlike seas & rivers easily change. People self hard to change.
酒不醉人人自醉。色不迷人人自迷。
Alcohol do not drunk people people drunk themselves. Sex do not indulge people people indulge themselves.
吾也现身说法。望尔革故鼎新。

如其美玉无暇。定许天台接引。
If you perfect no flaw. Guarantee Heaven will bring you up.
如其洁清自好。定许地府来迎。

水火刀兵。全家尽免。虫蝗瘟疫。一概潜消。
Water fire knife war disasters. Whole family need not go through. Locust disease epidemics. All quietly gone.
回顾好色狂徒。
Think back love adultery sinful people.
眼瞎耳聋。定是前生孽重。
Eyes blind ears deaf. Must be last life sins heavy.
足跛手断。必然隔世冤深。
Legs limp hands break. Must be last life people's hatred deep.
冷庙凄凉。无衣无食。破窑惨淡。受饥受寒。
In cold temple alone. No cloth no food. Broken home terribly. Get hunger get cold.
穷极无聊。何由忏悔。
Poor extreme nothing to do. From where repent?
汝等生长中邦。不类蛮夷。
You wait to born grow in Central Country. Not as barbarians.
何不以此为鉴。返朴归真。
Why not use this as warnings. Return good become pure.
言这药石。亦当奉为准绳。

字字珠玑。岂可置之高阁。

或立意不甚精祥。还望才人校正。

嗟尔世人。朝夕焚香。诵吾桃园经卷。

晨昏顶礼。读吾血心谕文。

汝既能敬吾为神明。吾敢不以汝为赤子。
You respect me as god. I do not dare not protect you as children.
汝既想脱离苦海。就该斩断邪魔。
You want escape from reincarnation sea. Should cut from evil satans.
汝既思克盖前愆。就该消除孽障。
You thinking get rid past mistakes. Should get rid evil obstacles.
汝不听吾相劝。吾亦无可如何。
You not hear my warnings. I (Guan Sage) nothing able do.
刀山任尔滚。油锅任尔烹。血河任尔坐。铁水任尔吞。
Knife mountains let you roll. Boiling oil let you get cook. Blood rivers let you inside. Boiling metal let you shallow.
那时才想读吾戒淫经。怕的不能出火炕。

吾在灵霄怕尔恨。你在地狱受惨刑。

要脱不得脱。要行不能行。

改也改不及。悔也悔不赢。
Change too late. Repent ineffective.
受尽诸般苦。发放变畜生。披毛又戴角。鸟兽与同群。
Suffer all those sufferings. Become animals. Wear fur & carry horns. With birds & animals.
依然刀下死。锅煎并火焚。何时才了结。始得转人身。
Still under knife die. Pan fry & fire burn. When can stop? To turn human again.
一失人身万劫难。何如修积上云端。
Once lose human form everything difficult. When cultivate up Heaven?
前车既败后车戒。方是长生不老丹。
Front car fail back car careful. Is Eternal Life not old medicine.
曩者飞鸾显化。疑信相参。
Last time gods-come give miracles. Misbelieve & believe mix.
故尔劫迟频临。干戈扰攘。乾坤倒置。兆姓贻秧。
Therefore your Judgement late come. Wars. Yin & Yang mix up. Millions kill.
灯烛辉煌。到处开坛阐教。城邻踊跃。各团讽忏礼经。
Lamp candles bright. Everywhere open Temple give teaching. Cities participate. Every groups repenting & read Scriptures.
无非亡羊补牢。挽回天意。
Just to make do wrongs. Get back Heaven.
吾也不辞苦口说法度人。
I (Guan Sage) also waste efforts say Teachings save people.
如有视为具文。立见灾殃并至。
If see this Scripture as normal literature. Immediately see disasters come.
如有指为荒谬，立见霹雳分身。
If say this Scripture as rubbish. Immediate strike thunders split body.
一片婆心。八仙拱手。满腔热血。五老昂头。
One good old heart. Eight Angels touch hands. Full boiling blood. 5 Elders look up.
不嫌浅陋。遍示苍生。
Not feel shallow. Give all beings.
付之枣粟。辄生厚望。
Give as good foods. Always have great expectations.
