如是我闻：一时，佛住摩伽提国寂灭道场弥日女村自在天祠精舍。
As I hear: one time, Buddha lives in Country Mo Jia Di - Tao Place Ji Mie - Village Day Lady - Hostel Carefree Heaven Temple.
时有迦波利婆罗门子，名弥勒，躯体金色，三十二相，八十种好，放银光明，黄金校饰，如白银山，威光无量，来至佛所。
Time have son of Jia Bo Li religion race, named White Period Buddha, whole body golden, 32 features, 80 good, emit silver lights, golden accessories, like white silver mountain, strict light infinite, come to Buddha place.
尔时，世尊与千两百五十比丘经行杯中，又有结发梵志五百人等，遥见弥勒威仪痒序，相好清净五体投地如银山崩，成金花聚宝间厕，金花金台七宝为果，于台阁中，有妙音声而说偈言：
Then, Buddha & 1250 Monks are drinking, & have hair have Big Vows 500 Persons etc, far see White Period Buddha strict appearance & orderly procedure, appearance good clean 5 body arms to ground like silver mountain collapsing, become golden flower gathering treasures become, golden flower golden tower 7 treasures as fruit, at tower inner place, have wonderful voice says poems:
我见牟尼尊 面貌常清净
百福相奇特 世间无伦匹
烦恼垢永尽 智慧悉成满
一向常归命 身心无疲倦
故我以五体 欲得胜安乐
脱苦无所畏 敬礼释迦文
I see Buddha Face always clean
100 fortune face unique World do not have
Worry & dirt forever gone Wisdom know become full
Always according fate Body heart no tired
Therefore I use 5 body arms For get winning comfort & happiness
Overcome sufferings do not scare Respecting Buddha
时，诸梵志见闻此事，白佛言：“世尊！如此童子威仪痒序，光明无量，与佛无异，于何佛所初发道心？受持谁经？唯愿天尊为我解说。”
That time, all Big Vows Persons hear & see this thing, ask Buddha: "Buddha! This kid strict appearance & orderly procedure, lights infinite, like Buddha no difference, from which Buddha first vow Tao Heart? Recite use which Scripture? Only wish Buddha can explain."
佛告式干梵志：“汝今谛听，善思念之，吾当为汝分别解说，令汝欢喜。
Buddha tells all Big Vows Persons: "you today listen, good thoughts with, I will for you explain, make you happy.
乃往过去无量无边阿僧祗劫时，有世界名胜花敷，佛号弥勒，很恒以慈心四无量教化一切。
In past before infinite Disasters time, have world named Win Hua Apply, Buddha named White Period Buddha, very always use compassion 4 infinite teach everyone.
彼佛说经，名慈三昧光大悲海云，若有闻者，即得超越百亿万劫生死之罪，必得成佛，无有疑虑。
That Buddha says Scripture, named Compassion 3 Light Big Sad Sea Sayings, if people hear, immediately overcome 100 billions thousands life & death sins, definitely become Buddha, without question.
时，彼国中有大婆罗门，名一切智光明，聪明多智，广博众经，世间技艺六十四能无不综练。
That time, that country has Religion Sect Person, named All Wisdom Lights, smart many wisdom, well versed in all Scriptures, world arts 64 capabilities all know practice.
闻佛出世，说慈三昧光大悲海云经，即以世间一切义论难诘彼佛。
Hear Buddha is born, says Compassion 3 Light Big Sad Sea Sayings Scripture, immediately use the world everything topics to difficult that Buddha.
尽其辞辩而不能屈，即便信伏为佛弟子，寻发阿褥多罗三藐三菩提心，而作是言：“我今于佛法中，诵持大慈三昧光大悲海云经，以此功德，愿于未来过算数劫，必得成佛，而号弥勒。”
But his arguments cannot win, then become the Buddha disciple, looking for Tao Heart, then make speech: "I today in Buddha Teachings, recite use Big Compassion 3 Light Big Sad Sea Sayings Scripture, using the Virtues, wish future cannot count Disasters later, definitely become Buddha, named White Period Buddha."
于是舍家，即入深山，长发为相，修行梵行，八十岁中，少欲无事，乞食自活，诵持是经，一心除乱。”
Therefore abandon home, then enter deep mountain, long hair as appearance, cultivate Big Vow Actions, 80 years old, little desire & nothing to do, beg food to live, recite use that Scripture, one heart get rid trouble."
彼时，世间有两星现，国王淫荒，慧星横流，连雨不止，洪水暴涨，仙人瑞坐，不得乞食，经历七日。
Then, the world has 2 stars appear, emperor mass adultery, asteroids mass across, long rain non-stop, flood water rising, Angel Person respectfully sit, cannot beg for food, for 7 days.
时彼林中有五百百兔，有一兔王，母子二兽见仙人七日不食，而作是言：“今此仙人为佛道故，不食多日，命不云远，法幡将崩，法海将竭，我今当为无大法令得久住，不惜身命。”
This time that forest has 500 white rabbits, one rabbit king, mother & son 2 them see Angel Person 7 days no eat, make this speech: "today this Angel Person for Buddhahood therefore, no eat many days, life end not far, Teachings Banner will collapse, Teachings Sea will dry up, I today should for no big Teachings to last, not treasure body life."
即告诸兔：“一切诸行皆悉无常，众生爱身，空生空死，未曾为法，我今欲为一切众生作大桥梁，令法久住，供养法师。”
Then tells all rabbits: "all actions belong no forever, beings love bodies, empty live empty die, not before for Teachings, I today wish for all beings become big bridge, make Teachings long lasts, give food to Teacher."
尔时兔王即为群兔而说偈言：
若有畜生类 得闻诸佛名
永离三恶道 不生八难处
若闻法奉行 生处常值佛
信法无疑惑 归依贤圣僧
随顺诸戒行 如是疾得佛
必至大涅[盘*] 常受无上乐
This time rabbit king immediately for mass rabbits give poems say:
If have animals kind get hear all Buddha names
Forever away 3 bad realm no born 8 disasters areas
If hear Teachings & follow will born areas always have Buddhas
Believe Teachings no doubt follow Sub-Sage & Sage & Monks
Follow all vowed must-not like want to see Buddha
Definitely get Nirvana (heaven world enlightenment) get & live higher funs
尔时兔王说此偈已，告诸兔言：“我今以身欲供养法，汝等宜当各各随喜，所以者何？我从多劫，丧身无数，三毒所使，为鸟兽形，唐生唐死，未曾为法，吾今欲为无上法故，弃舍身命，供养法师。”
Then rabbit king finish saying poems, tell all rabbits: "I today use my body wish to give food for Teachings, you people should everyone do what you wish, so how? I from many disasters, die many times, 3 poisons driven, become birds & animals body, fake live fake die, never for Teachings, I today wish for highest Teachings reason, give body life, give food for Teacher."
时，山树神即积香薪，以火燃之。
This time, mountain & tree gods gather fragrant firewoods, use fire burn.
兔王母子围绕仙人足满七匝，自言：“大师！我今为法供养尊者。”
Rabbit king & mother go round Angel Person full 7 times, say: "Big Teacher! I today for Teachings give good for you."
仙人告言：“汝是畜生，虽有慈心，何缘能办？”
Angel Person tells: "you are animals, although have compassion heart, how to accomplish?"
兔白仙人：“我自以身供养仁者，为法久住，令诸众生得饶益故。”
Rabbit tells Angle Person: "I self use body give food to You, for Teachings long last, make all beings get benefits reason."
作此语已，即语其子：“汝可随意求觅水草，系心思维，正念三宝。”
Make this statement finished, tells his son: "you can freely look for water & grass, practice heart thinking, correct thoughts 3 Treasures."
尔时兔子闻母所说，跪白母言：“如尊所该无上大法，欲供养者，我亦愿乐。”
Then rabbit son hears mother saying, knee tell mother: "according to highest Big Teachings, wish to give food Teacher, I also happy to."
作此语已，自投火中，母随后入。
Make this statement finished, self throw into fire, mother after follow.
当于菩萨舍身之时，天地大动，乃至色界及与诸天，皆雨天华，持用供养。
When Sub-Buddhas sacrifice bodies, Heaven & Earth move, from material realm to all heavens, beautiful rains, to add give food.
肉熟之后，时山树神白仙人言：“兔王母子为供养故，投身火中，今肉已熟，汝可食之。”
After meat cooked, this time mountain & tree gods tell Angel Person: "rabbit king mother & son for give food reason, drop themselves into fire, now the meat are cooked, you can eat."
时彼仙人闻树神语，悲不能言，以所诵经书置树叶，又说偈曰：
宁当燃身破眼目 不忍行杀食众生
诸佛所说慈悲经 彼经中说行慈者
宁破骨髓出头脑 不忍啖肉食众生
如佛所说食肉者 此人行慈不满足
常受短命多病身 迷没生死不成佛
This time that Angel Person hear tree gods words, sad cannot say, use his recite Scripture put on tree leaf, then say poem:
Rather burn body break eyes Not bear do killing eat beings
All Buddhas what say Compassion Scriptures That Scripture inside say doing compassion persons
Rather break bone mallow out brain Not bear eat meat eat beings
According Buddha say of eat meat persons This person do compassion not perfect
Always have short life many sickness to body Lost in life & death cannot become Buddha
时彼仙人说此偈已，因发誓言：“愿我世世不起杀想，恒不啖肉，入白光明慈三昧，乃至成佛，制断肉戒。”
This time that Angel Person finish say that poem, because make Vow say: "vow I life life no come up with killing thoughts, forever not eat meat, enter White Light Compassion 3 Lights, until become Buddha, cut off meat Vow."
作此语已，自投火炕，与兔并命。
Do finish this words, self throw into fire, with rabbits die.
是时，天地六种震动，天神力故，树放光明，金色晃曜，照千国土。
This time, Heaven & Earth 6 kinds of earthquake, Heaven gods' strength because, trees give out lights, golden lights blinding, shine to 1000 countries soils.
时彼国中诸人民等，见金色光从山树出，寻光来至，即见仙人及与二兔死在火中，见所说偈，并得佛经，持还上王。
This time that country all people etc, see golden light from mountain trees out, search light come to, then see Angel Person & 2 rabbits die in fire, see all say poems, & get Buddha Scripture, give return to emperor.
王闻此法，传告共宣，令闻此者，皆发无上正真道心。
Emperor hear this Teaching, spread tell all know, make hear persons, all vow highest real Tao Heart.
佛告式干：“汝今当知，尔时白兔王者，今现我身释迦文尼佛是。时兔儿者，今罗喉罗是。时诵经仙人者，今此众中婆罗门子弥勒菩萨摩诃萨是；我涅[盘*]后五十六亿万岁，当于穰[袪*]转轮圣王国土，华林园中金刚座处，龙华菩提树下得成佛道，转妙法轮。时五百群兔者，今摩诃迦叶五百比丘是。时二百五十山树神者，舍利弗目腱连等二百五十比丘是。时千国王，跋陀婆罗等千菩萨是。彼王国土诸人民等得闻经者，从我出世乃至肉楼至，于其中间受法弟子得道者是。”
Buddha tells Person Shi Gan: "you today should know, that time white rabbit king person, today I Red-Period Buddha is. That time rabbit son, today Luo Hou Luo is. That time recite Scripture Angel Person, today this inside crowd Religion Son White Period Sub-Buddha is; I die after 56 billion years old, at Ran Qu Zhuan Lun Sage-King country land, Garden Hua Lin seat place, Tree Long Hua below get Buddhahood, rotate say Teachings. That time 500 rabbits, today Jia Ye 500 Monks. That time 250 mountain tree gods, today She Li Fu & Mu Jian Lian 250 Monks. That time 1000 countries emperor, Ba Lun Po Luo Sub-Buddha. Other country soils all people etc who get hear that Scripture, from I born to die, in between get Teachings disciples get Tao Persons are."
佛告式干：“菩萨求法，勤苦历劫，不惜身命，虽复从报受畜生身，常能为法不惜躯命，投于火炕，以身供养，使得超越九百万亿劫生死之罪，于是得在恒河沙等无量诸佛先，先弥勒前得成佛道，汝等云何不勤为法？”
Buddha tells Person Shi Gan: "Sub-Buddha seek Teachings, hardworking suffer many disasters, not care body life, even repeat get animals body, always for Teachings not care give life, throw himself into fire, use body give food, to get himself overcome 900 10 thousand billion life & death sins, therefore get River Heng sands etc infinite Buddhas before, before White Period Buddha become Buddhahood, you etc ask why not hardworking for Teachings?"
佛说是语时，式干等五百梵志求佛出家，佛言：善来！须发自落，即成沙门。
When Buddha says words, Person Shi Gan etc 500 Big Vows Persons ask Buddha to become Monks, Buddha: good come! Hair drop, immediately become Monks.
佛为说法，豁然意解，成阿罗汉，八万诸天亦发阿褥多罗三藐三菩提心。
Buddha for them say Teachings, open mind get meaning, become Sub-Sub-Buddha, 80000 heavens then vow Tao Heart.
时会大众闻佛所说，各各称赞菩萨所行。
This meeting the crowd who hears what Buddha say, everyone praise Sub-Buddhas actions.
舍利弗白佛言：“时彼仙人投火炕已，为生何处？”
Disciple Xu Li Fu asks Buddha: "that time that Angel Person after throwing self to fire, born where?"
佛告舍利弗："时彼仙人投火炕已，生于梵世，普为一切说大梵法，乃至成佛转大梵轮，所说经典亦名慈三昧光大悲海云。所制波罗提木叉，不行慈者名犯禁人，其食肉者犯于重禁，后身生处常饮热铜，至彼仙人得作佛时，如弥勒菩萨下生经说。”
Buddha tells Disciple Xu Li Fu: "that time that Angel Person after throw himself into fire, born in Vow World, for all say Vow Teachings, until become Buddha rotate big Vowed Teachings, all say is Scripture named Compassion 3 Lights Big Compassion Sea Sayings. He Made a Bo Luo Di wooden stick, not doing compassion persons named big sins persons, those who eat mat committed heavy sins, later life born always drink hot meat, until that Angel Person become Buddha time, like White Period Sub-Buddha next life Scripture say."
尊者阿难闻佛所说，即从座起，偏袒右肩，右膝著地，合掌向佛，叉手长跪而白佛言：“世尊！弥勒成佛所说戒法，乃以慈心制不食肉，（食肉者）为犯重禁，其奇甚特。”
Disciple Ah Nan hear what Buddha says, immediately rise from seat, expose right shoulder, right knee on ground, 2 palms towards Buddha, out hands long knee tell Buddha: "Buddha! White Period Buddha become Buddha what say abstain method, is use compassion heart become no eat meat, (eat meat persons) as heavy sins, is very special."
时会大众，异口同音皆共称赞彼国众生不食肉戒，愿生彼国。
This time crowd in meeting, different mouth same voice together praise that country beings no eat meat cultivation, wish to be born that country.
世尊悉记，当得往生。
Buddha throughout mark, to be born there.
尊者阿难复白佛言：“当何名此经？云何受持之？”
Disciple Ah Nan again asks Buddha: "what name this Scripture? Ask how to use cultivate it?"
佛告阿难：“此法之要，名白兔王菩萨不惜身命为无上道，亦名一切智光明仙人慈心因缘不食肉经，如是受持。”
Buddha tells Disciple ah Nan: "this Teachings central, named White Rabbit King Sub-Buddha not treasure body life for highest Tao (Way), also named Every Wisdom Lights Angel Person Compassion Heart Fate No Eat Meat Scripture, as use cultivate."
尊者阿难及诸比丘闻佛所说，欢喜奉行。
Disciple Ah Nan & all Monks hear what Buddha says, happy followed.
